Carotron Updates for - New Module Comparisons

Published: Fri, 08/26/11

Hello ,

If you haven't noticed by now, we at Carotron strive
to provide new innovative controls without eliminating our
older models. Since our company's start in 1984, we've
noticed over the years that while some of our customers are
always looking for the latest releases in controls, there
are those that like to continue using the original models.

Unlike many manufacturers, Carotron keeps many of its older
products in stock instead of making them "obsolete." This
ensures the end customer that he has options -- to continue
using the original control, or to upgrade to a new and
improved model offered by Carotron.

Over the next few issues, we'll be comparing some of our new
din-rail mountable interface modules with their original
counter products. If you're a distributor for Carotron,
you'll be able to read about the differences and better help
your customers make a decision.

In this issue we'll be comparing the new SIM200-000 Signal
Isolation Module with our older Signal Isolation Card Model
C10209-000.

Model SIM200-000:

> +24VDC powered with 3-way isolation
> More compact module (takes up less space)
> Quicker and easier to install with Din-Rail Mountable
design (minimize downtime at your facility)
> Protective cover shields circuit board from ingress of
dust, fibers, lint, etc.
> Bipolar input and output
> No summing input
> No frequency input
